Hi! I’m Fan-Pei. I was Miss Taiwanese American Princess 2015, won a NASA hackathon, turned down Yale to start my own businesses, and am a former model. I’m raising money to volunteer in hospitals to comfort, support wounded soldiers and civilians in hospitals. Think like Make a Wish but for everyday✨.

I will live part time in Ukraine and volunteer visiting wounded soldiers and civilians in hospitals as a representative of America and Taiwan. I will talk, sing, play guitar, stroke their hair, give massages, whatever it takes to soothe them, and ask what I can do or bring them to make them happy. I will visit regularly and establish care relationships with the patients. In the past I’ve drawn portraits and written letters, made little gifts, brought their favorite food, newspapers, things from home, etc. I will also run whatever errands I can for them and their families. I hope I can make friends in Ukraine who can help me translate and help with shopping and procurement to fulfill the patients’ wishes.

Why Am I Doing This?

I have experience with trauma, hospitalizations, and want to make sure other people don’t experience that alone. I came from an intensely abusive family that I ran away from and was hospitalized three times for suicidal ideation and emotional breakdown. I came to Ukraine after I lost my business and my family after my second breakdown, and I miraculously met other suicidal, altruistic volunteers and soldiers from all over the world and fell in love with the Ukrainian people. I’ve never felt so understood and connected as when I’m with people who have been humbled by deep suffering, lost everything, endured torture, or live in imminent danger. My mind is clear when I’m carrying someone through a traumatic experience or when I hear bombs go off. Previously in my life I took care of my former roommate, Jerry, who struggled with gangrene and diabetes for six years in and out of the hospital. He had no family, so I looked after him, took him to the hospital, visited him regularly, brought him anything he wanted, and supported him through ICU and hospice. Before I lost my business, I was going to cook group meals and mentor group homes and orphanages in my area. I’ve volunteered for malaria support for Africa, STEM education, and anti-sex trafficking initiatives. I’m not sure why my life happened the way it did, but when I help Ukrainians, I feel grateful for all of the experiences that led me to this point, and I feel like there’s some kind of overarching purpose and narrative to my life that brought me here. I deeply appreciate your help and support in helping me live this life. I know money is hard to come by and I’m grateful to you for helping make my dreams come true ❤️

I’m always looking for collaborators to help me shoot sexy, fun content or if you’d like to help me in any way with logistics, procurement, etc. In Ukraine I’d also like creative collaborators for photo and video, translators, and people who can help me shop and put together little gifts for patients. It’s kind of a one-girl operation right now and I’m kind of winging it to the best of my abilities 😅
